The fiery Aries/Obama Moon is totally fiery and hot and inflamed today. It joins energetic Mars and the milky Milky Way to align our hyper love for Obama with our sugary feelings of being in his presence. By midday, you may find you've left the kids with the nanny and - suddenly - you're driving to a community you've never seen before and are spontaneously organizing it! Don't let the fact that the residents say they are quite happy and don't need you around stop your important work. Get in their faces! Stir up feelings of victimization! Remember planting the seeds of entitlement and resentment now helps grow the leaders of the future.

Tonight: Mercury, Venus, Pluto and Uranus form a "K" "Y" in the House of Astro and glide into a four way. Relax and go with it. You may wake up a bit sore - but also oddly satisfied.

Dear Scarlett,

Funny you should ask. Many of those closest to Obama are already spreading their wings in Tinsletown. Joe Biden has sold 2 screenplays this month: The Taking of Valium 123 and a remake of Francis the Talking Mule based on his personal diary.

The Hollywood rumor mill is also a titter with news that Barney Frank will sing and twirl the baton on this summer's America's Got Talent. All ready slimmed down enough to fit into his favorite Wonder Woman costume - a gift from the J. Edgar Hoover estate - expect to see Frank strutting his stuff on the Left coast during the August Congressional recess.

As for now our Barack will stick to being fabulous in D.C. Hollywood will have to get by with the lesser talents of people like Meryl Streep, Robert Duvall, and James Earl Jones.

9 things I've been meaning to say

1. I don't want to hear another thing about Michelle Obama's arms as long as I live.

2. The GOP is not dead. Enough already. I don't like the GOP. But the lathering foam that has been worked up by the chattering classes about about a party losing 2 elections is now officially ridiculous. Carter won in 1976 he had a Dem Congress, by 1980 everything had changed.

3. In the mean time I must say I am enjoying the GOP civil war.

4. The Libertarian Party should campaigning to peal away Republicans. They are missing an opportunity. A big chunk of the GOP could be ready to bolt given a choice.

5A. Bill Maher is not funny.

5B. Jay Leno isn't either. (Leno's humor is best described as "catskillian")

6. Why can no one ever make an announced visit to Iraq?

7. Hey Barry, Get off your ass about Don't Ask Don't Tell and the "defense" of marriage act. You PROMISED, dude. Promised to end DADT and promised to repeal that horrific law. Do it.

8. I tried to work up some "outrage" about what Wanda Sykes said at the Correspondence Roman Orgy...but, alas, I cannot. After 20 years of that man's rants, Rush blow back is deserved until proven otherwise. Nor does it bother me that Rush wants Obi to "fail". Every damn liberal worth his or her bone marrow wanted W to "fail". He graciously fulfilled our desires. The faux outrage on the cocktail party left pretty much says everything you need to know about that bunch.

9A. Everyone loves to hate Hollywood and yet, in the throws of a Depression, the top ten films made nearly 170 million dollars this weekend alone. Hollywood is the perfect Laissez-Faire business. No bailouts. No studio has been saved by the Federal government. The Ayn Rand rules of engagement run THE BIZ. Free market mouseketeers should be bowing down to Hollywood's genius. It works in good times and bad. This town wants to make money. That is it. I promise you if the population of the U.S. stopped choosing sex soaked, violence saturated, drug addled, adultery infested movies and TV - they'd stop being made. Everything would be Masterpiece Theater and Free Willy. Having said all that there will be a post this evening about Hollywood's stupid penchant for appearing "politically correct". This is ridiculous and should be railed against along with every other segment of this society that has weoponized language as an end run around censorship.

9B. Finally, if you don't like what a celebrity says then remember the only punishment celebrities understand is being ignored. Ignore them. It will drive them bat shit crazy.

Turns out I must spend much of the work day away from my office (which is also my dining room, fyi.) in the glamorous fleshpot the entertainment elders call "Old Hollywood" - I will be unable to get online ( a situation that, oddly, causes me to feel naked).
I say unto you, fabulous Liberal Rapturites, GO FORTH AND VOTE! I will no doubt attempt to avoid watching returns when I get back - but fail - and tune in - and post something... I am so glad the campaign part of this adventure is finally ending... For a while now I've wanted to move on to the "blogging about McCain from the Left" part of the story- or the "watching the country turn on Obama" part of the story.

UPDATE:
Just got back from voting. I did not vote 4 BHO. I actually feel CLEAN. I will happily vote for him in 4 years if he wins today and proves himself. Until then I still believe merit should matter.
