The Lord sent his servant Rahm to the gift store at the last minute to obtain gifts for the minister Brown from across the pond. So the Lord then gave the minister movies called American Gigolo, and Porky's and Dude, Where's my Car 2. and little plastic flying machines. and a walnut he found in the back yard that looked like Ben Franklin. and, vaguely, Barbara Walters.
Then minister Brown left-eth, And the Lord was tired. All this "giving" of gifts. wore his asseth out.
So he went out back for a smoketh.

I really can't get my mind around President Sunshine and the First "Lady"'s neanderthal behaviour toward the U.K.'s Prime Minster and his wife. Read N.Q. for an accounting of the re-gifted gifts the Obamas apparently threw at on the Browns on the fly. By all accounts Brown is a short timer in his job...but it is worth remembering that on State visits it is the office that gets respect, not the holder of the office.
Few seems to have noticed something about the Obamas that seems evident to me: They are tacky. Come January 2013, the new tenant of the White house will have some scrubbing to do. That said, whatever BHO thinks of Britain, they are our true blue allies - BFFs - as the Obama Kidz would say - treating any British Prime Minster rudely is stupid and unwise.
