The attacks on the WH for ducking C-Span keep coming. Jack Cafferty appears to have expunged all the Kool-Aid he swilled in 2008. Though there is no reason to suddenly trust the noxious gasbag, his broadside is welcome:

The similarity in vibe between the Bush Cheney push for war with Iraq and the Obama Pelosi Reid demand for a health care bill that the majority oppose is striking. The main difference being that before we invaded Iraq only half the nation opposed the war. In the case of health care "reform" well over half oppose. The level of arrogance is astounding even by D.C. standards. In trying to get a handle on it I keep coming up empty. The bill must be a payoff of extraordinary magnitude. Much of the Democratic leadership is acting like kamikaze pilots, willing to give their political lives for a bill next to no one wants. And they're willing to do it in secret - throwing the middle finger just before they self-immolate. The mindless belligerence is a sight to behold.

A note on Harry Reid
Harry Reid is truly an idiot. Before Blag was arrested Reid called him to - apparently - insist that Jackson Jr., Emil Jones, and Danny Davis NOT be appointed. These three men are black. Two are sitting congressmen. Of course, after appointing a different black man that Reid can't abide, Blag leaked the early December conversation.
Seriously - how stupid is Harry Reid? He called and tried to nix 3 black guys. In America. In 2008. Even if he had good reasons (he doesn't), does live in the same nation as the rest of us? Did he not know how this would look? This man would not take on Bush, blinking at every turn - but is calling a Governor and telling him "not those 3 guys?" All of whom happen to be black. So Reid is now on record trying to block FOUR Black candidates for a seat in a Senate with NO black members. By the By - all three men have longer resumes than Obama. Which ain't saying much, I know.
Lordy. Got no love for the GOP here, but I am so happy I left the Democratic Party.

Democrats in the state legislature could have stripped Blagojevich of his appointment powers and imposed a special election. Obama also could have demanded it. But as he has done so often in his career, Obama avoided a confrontation and looked the other way.
In fact, the power women are on it tonight. Here Uppity chimes on the possibility that Burris may be met with Senate goons and turned away. No kidding. I didn't make this up. If Roland Burris tries to enter the rarefied airspace of the Senate chambers, he will be stopped by armed guards.
So the Obama era will probably begin with an exceptionally qualified black man being turned away from the Senate while a questionably qualified white women, and Obama sycophant, from a powerful family will be seated. After a year of sexist Hillary bashing from those opposing Burris one can only sit back and snicker with disgust. Once again Obama has the opportunity here to heal wounds - but, being a parasitic coward, he won't. Provided there is nothing unknown and disqualifying about Burris, BHO could signal he approves or, at least, is no longer opposed to his appointment. It's not Burris's fault Blag is almost certainly a crook.
And don't be fooled by the media - Blag's appointment of Burris was perfectly legal. There is no reason for the Senate's belligerence. It is a naked, extra-legal powerplay with the assent of PEBO.
Harry Reid and the Obamanation are opposing Burris for one reason only: They want someone else. Of course, this is an absurd reason and a disastrous precedent.
Sadly for Burris, based on the behaviour of the Obama pods and the Obama media this past year, I suspect Mr. Burris is a few newscycles from being personally trashed.
