Mormon turn around: I hesitate to link this because the actions of the LDS church in this case in no way mitigates the damage it has done and its previous vile, amoral behavior. Additionally, I'm done with the poverty consciousness of the Gay elite. Begging bigots for basic human rights is no longer acceptable. Women and Men are afforded human rights by virtue of being born. Not because a majority says so. So the LDS church in Salt Lake City agrees that housing and employment discrimination is wrong. Whoop Dee Fucking Doo. No one gets an prize for ceasing to be a hate filled crank for a few hours. Gays being happy about a group expressing a smidgen of human decency is a sign of a severe poverty of spirit.

Don't Ask. Don't Tell.

Candidate Obama promised to repeal "Don't ask, don't tell".

Whatever your feelings may be on this issue, Obama made the promise, and he has reneged.

Regarding "Don't ask, don't tell": Obama pledged to repeal the U.S. military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy that prevents openly homosexual men and women from serving in the military, his spokesman said.
"While campaigning for America's highest office, Barack Obama told prospective voters he would, without a doubt, repeal the discriminatory policy we know as Don't Ask Don't Tell. His assertiveness on the subject was profound; his no-nonsense approach, so appealing"

But, is that going to happen? So far, Obama is saying it's up to Congress to deal with this issue, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Democrat) says it's up to Obama to deal with it. The classic Washington political "hot potato" no one wants to take hold of.

"Despite campaigning last year in support of repealing the “Don't Ask and Don't Tell” policy, the Obama White House asked the Supreme Court not to take the case and it would not stop homosexuals from being kicked our of the Military. President Obama said he supported throwing out the federal law but has taken no specific action on the controversy. Another promise not kept by Obama...In the high court filing The Obama Justice Department said the law was 'rationally related to the government's legitimate interest in military discipline and cohesion.'"

Face Facts Obama Pods: Obama is a bigot and a liar.

It is hard to fathom just how fraudulent Obama truly is. One of his most ridiculous and mean spirited advocates last year was Rachel Maddow. Well, she laid into him last night - as the scales fall from yet another arrogant, mindless, "Don't Ask any questions about Obama, Don't Speak any truth about him either" Obama Pod I wonder if we should start a score card to keep track of these fools as they try to rationalize their idiotic support for the fraud from Chicago.

The Obama fanatics owe us all an apology.

DO ask Obama why he has not acted, DON'T accept legal discrimination

We should not be silent on the legal discrimination taking place in the United States right now. Gay and lesbian soldiers (and patriots) are being forced out of the U.S. Armed Forces NOW, Today, 2009, 110 days after the new commander in chief was inaugurated - a man who promised repeatedly to end this vile practice. Mr. Obama brags about how much he has accomplished so far - and yet on a basic civil rights issue that both he and his wife should, in theory, empathize with he is unwilling to take action.

The reasons for Obama's fearful inaction are clear to anyone who is politically astute. All civil rights movement garner severe blow back. The ignorance and bigotry directed at Gays is deeply embedded. Obama rightly fears distraction from his agenda and falling into the same trap President Clinton did after he was elected in 1992. Clinton moved quickly to fulfill his promise to end the expulsion of gays in the military. The blow back resulted in a half baked compromise called "Don't Ask, Don' t Tell". Obama promised to end this corrosive policy and allow all willing and capable men and women serve in the country's military. But he has done nothing.

Obama's fear of blow back does not make his inaction morally acceptable. Dan Choi's story is a good case in point. A West Point Grad, fluent in Arabic, who served an extended tour in Iraq. I suggest reading this link. Why is the American military be discharging capable people like Choi?
