Obama on TV
Obama's TV appearances have jumped the shark. Even ignoring my own contempt for the man, you got to admit, his relentless presence on the television is creepy. He'll be on 5 Sunday shows and will be the only guest on Letterman Monday night. His continued insistence that the office of President be degraded by appearing on late night chat shows - is only matched here by the arrogance of taking up the whole hour. Hugo Chavez does this type of thing in Venezuela. It's personality cult stuff.
Is his "team" so inept that the response to the Right must only emanate from him? Or is it that he is so arrogant they he thinks he is the only one who can make a case for anything?
Regardless, it's creepy, gross and cult-y. There is something that disgusts me about a President that feels the need to be a constant presence in our lives. Especially when he's been so willing to have Congress do all the work. All he seems to do is talk. and talk. and talk.
