David Letterman makes a sincere apology to the Palins for his vulgar "joke".

Good.

Also outrage over the joke caused at least on advertiser to remove itself from the CBS website.

Embassy Suites, part of the Hilton Hotels Corp., pulled advertising on CBS' site because of complaints, company spokeswoman Kendra Walker told TVGuide.com.

It still sickens me that so many excuses for Letterman came from the Left during this flap. I commend those of the Left, Right and in between who responded forcefully.
