I admit to a short fuse when it comes to Chicago Slim adulation. The "Obama did so well with the pirate drama" has already worn me out. Enough. The man was smart enough to let the grown ups do the job...a job clearly above his "pay grade" and the grown ups got the job done. That's it. This does not make BHO suddenly worthy of a new round of masturbatory back slapping.

His response to the North Korean rocket launch is much more telling than his decamping to the cone of silence while the events off Somalia unfolded. Regarding North Korea he said some measured phrases and punted to the U.N. The U.N. dithered - then said "Bad Kim! Bad!"

North Korea has now responded with a big fat: fuck you, world!

Chicago Slim's measured tone and immediate punt on North Korea does not look nearly as wise now.
