Obama - the Tackiest President ever?

After releasing his all important picks for the final four, a sitting President is going on a chat show tonight.

I hesitated to call him tacky after the "give the blind British PM incorrectly formatted DVDs as a gift" moment - but it seemed like the only useful word.

A sitting U.S. President going on a late night chat show in which he will follow a comedy monologue is actually embarrassing to me. It is degrading to all of us and the office he holds. It is tacky.

I believe there is a real pathological narcissism problem with this President that might cause us true harm if he can't get over it. What is he doing going on the Tonight Show with the economy in crisis? Even his "blame me" moments are supremely self involved. He never claims any responsibility. He does get attention and a moment of "look how honest and upfront I am." Which is, of course, not true at all. ( We now know the AIG bonuses had everything to do with Obama's team. He was not up front in the least.)

For a sitting POTUS to go on Leno - and I have no problem with Leno - is just tacky.
